The Trainee is the Commander's Daughter

2026-03-04

My name is Violet Robinson, standing on the Special Forces Selection training ground, muscles taut beneath my camouflage uniform. Before dawn, the training ground was already crowded with silent trainees, the scent of sweat mixed with earth stinging my nostrils. Until Instructor Felix Shane stopped in front of me, his eyes locked onto the globally limited edition wristwatch on my wrist. "Here for the selection, or just here to show off?" His voice was as cold as a knife. I said nothing, only tightened the weighted gear on my shoulders—thirty kilometers of penalty running was both the beginning of my trial and the start of my humiliation.收起

Chapter 1 of "The Trainee is the Commander's Daughter"

My name is Violet Robinson. Today marks the first day of the Special Forces Selection. At dawn, the training base's drill ground was already crowded with trainees dressed in camouflage uniforms. Everyone wore expressions of nervous anticipation, and I was no exception. I looked down at the sports wristwatch on my wrist—a coming-of-age gift from my father, a globally limited edition, quite valuable. I never thought it was anything special, just a watch that was convenient to use. "Everyone. Attention!" A sharp command shattered the morning silence. I immediately straightened my back, fixing my gaze straight ahead. Approaching me was the instructor in charge of our selection training, named Felix Shane. He was tall and dark-skinned, his eyes sharp like knives as they swept over each trainee. When his gaze landed on my wrist, it suddenly froze. He furrowed his brow and took slow steps toward me. The other trainees around also stared at me with curiosity, and murmurs gradually rose. "How much did you pay for that watch?" Felix Shane's voice was cold, laced with clear disapproval. I was momentarily stunned, then answered truthfully, "I'm not sure of the exact price; it was a gift from my family." "Not sure of the price?" Felix Shane sneered, his voice rising a few decibels. "I think you're asking knowingly! Wearing such a luxury wristwatch—are you here for the Special Forces Selection or just to show off?" I felt a wave of grievance; just as I was about to explain, he cut me off. "The Special Forces need soldiers who can endure hardship and aren't vain—not spoiled girls like you!" His words pierced my heart like needles. The murmurs around me grew louder, and some trainees looked at me with nothing but disdain. "I don't think you're fit to be here at all. You'd better pack your things and get out now!" Felix Shane went on, his tone growing sharper and more cutting. I clenched my fists tightly, fighting back tears, and shouted: "Instructor, I'm here to take part in the selection. I can endure hardship and will abide by the rules. Please don't dismiss me just because of a wristwatch." "Abide by the rules?" Felix Shane raised an eyebrow. "Fine, I'll give you a chance to prove yourself." He turned around and shouted to everyone, "Violet Robinson, due to violating training discipline and showing an improper attitude, you are sentenced to a thirty-kilometer weighted march, starting immediately!" Thirty kilometers? Still carrying weight under the blazing sun? The trainees around inhaled sharply. This is clearly a deliberate attempt to make things difficult for me. I didn't argue further, silently picking up the weighted gear beside me and securing it on my back. The equipment was heavy, pressing painfully on my shoulders. The sun was already high overhead, its rays scorching like fire against my skin. I took a deep breath, lifted my feet, and headed toward the track. Every step was agonizingly difficult, but I didn't stop. I kept telling myself that I couldn't give up—I had to prove to Felix Shane that I wasn't the pampered girl he accused me of being.

I stared at Amy's post on my phone, my fingertips cold — the mole on the man's inner wrist in the holding-hands photo was unmistakably Charles's. "Charles, who is this woman to you?" "She's just my assistant. Don't overthink it." He avoided my gaze. "An assistant who wears a custom pink diamond? A wedding ring engraved with her name?" I slammed my phone down. "Was it her who added macadamia nut powder to Nora's puree?" Charles's face paled instantly. "It was an accident!" "She knew Nora was allergic! You knew it too, but you covered for her!" My eyes red, I closed in on him. Amy burst in suddenly, waving a bracelet identical to mine. "Lisa, be smart and get a divorce. Charles loves me." "You murderer!" I lunged at her, only to be held back by Charles. "You're crazy! Amy's pregnant with my child!" He shielded her, his eyes icy cold. I looked at the two of them, laughing...

My best friend, Ginny Sullivan, suddenly shoved an 80,000 bag at me. "Here, Zoe." "Are you crazy?" I pulled my hand back like I'd been burned. "Where did the money come from?" She grabbed my wrist tightly, her voice barely above a whisper: "Don't ask. Just remember, no matter what, take care of yourself." My heart was pounding wildly, and before I could react, she turned and disappeared into the crowd. Three days later, her husband Johnny broke into my house with the police. Her mother-in-law was sobbing hysterically outside the door: "My retirement money's been stolen—five hundred thousand!" "Zoe Smith!" Johnny's eyes were bloodshot as he lunged at me, grabbing my collar. "Give me my wife!"收起

Ex-Husband, Your Move

On our third wedding anniversary, I flew to M City without telling Caleb, wanting to surprise him. When I opened my eyes again, a collar fastened with an iron chain was nailed to a lamppost, and the bitter wind stung my cheeks sharply. Whitney was wearing his usual black overcoat, pinching my chin condescendingly: "Susan, did you really think Caleb only has you in his heart?" "Where's Caleb?" I roared as I struggled, only to be yanked down hard onto the ground by the chain. A black sedan pulled up slowly, and he got out, wrapping his arm around Whitney. I screamed at him like I was clutching a lifeline: "Caleb! Save me!" But he let out a low chuckle, bending down to say to Whitney: "You really know me. This sense of humor is right up my alley." "A sense of humor?" My blood ran cold. "Were our three years of love just a joke to you?" Whitney tiptoed...

In the blazing fire, I screamed at the top of my lungs: "Michael, save me!" Yet the man who once swore to protect me for a lifetime turned his back without hesitation, holding Pamela in his arms as he walked away, leaving me alone to struggle in the sea of flames. Our unborn child—my baby—perished in the fire just like that. I also lost my uterus because of this, reduced to this half-human, half-ghost appearance. "Sign it, or I'll keep you in the dark forever!" Michael's voice was as cold as ice. He threw the divorce agreement and the cornea donation agreement onto my bedside. My eyes widened in disbelief. "How could you be so cruel? She was the one who set the fire!" "No one will believe you. Will you sign it or not?" He stepped closer, his gaze as sharp as a knife. Just as I was drowning in despair, an anonymous video exposed their conspiracy. A flame...

I smiled as I dialed Dylan Xavier's number: 'Five hundred arsenals as dowry, save my brother, and I'll marry you.' Three days later, I stood in a bloodstained wedding gown atop the bridal carriage—behind me, Caleb's car taillights chased like a maddened storm.收起

"When you said you'd keep Milo here, it was just an excuse to see me! You defended that cat even after she got scratched three times—you were trying to drive her away, weren't you?" I pushed the door open, my knuckles white with rage. "So Milo was never left here by a friend?" Ruby turned to me with a smirk, her eyes brimming with provocation. "What else did you expect? I trembled all over, about to explain, but he shoved me harshly to the ground. "If it weren't for you, Nancy would never have thrown herself into the sea." "I should've let you die with her!" In excruciating pain, my phone buzzed with an anonymous message—a glaring photo. Nancy, wearing a bikini, nestled in the arms of a stranger, laughing wildly and carefree. Then the phone rang, Nancy's voice dripping with sarcasm: "Sister, happy wedding anniversary." "Nancy? You're not dead?" "Dead? How could I possibly die without seeing you suffer at Ben's hands, worse than death itself? What a waste that would be." "You think Ben loves you? You're...
