Listing My Ex

2026-03-04

When I brought Quentin Hill some soup, the moment I pushed the door open, Marianne Ray was grinning as she stuck a QR code on my forehead. I ripped off the paper—"Damaged goods on clearance." Blood boiled in my head like a buzzing storm. "Quentin!" I looked straight at my husband. He just frowned and wiped his hands. "Marianne was joking, why are you taking it so seriously?" That night, Marianne Ray posted the photo of me with the QR code on her social media, captioned: "Expired secondhand goods, who wants it?" Quentin Hill's comment was right under it, just two words: "No thanks." At that moment, I heard a string inside my mind snap with a sharp "pop." I picked up my phone and called the bank manager, my voice so steady it felt strange even to me: "Freeze all the supplementary cards I issued to Quentin Hill." Then I dialed another number and said on the other end, "Bring the best tattoo artist and equipment. I want someone to understand— who's the trash that's gonna be taken out."收起

Chapter 1 of "Listing My Ex"

I'm Freya Upton. Today, I specially made some soup to bring to my husband Quentin Hill's company. He's been busy with a big project lately, often working late into the night. I thought it would help him recover. The receptionist recognized me so didn't stop me, so I walked straight to his office. The office door wasn't fully closed. I was about to knock when I saw his secretary, Marianne Ray, standing by his desk with her back to me. Quentin was leaning back in his chair, eyes closed, as if he was resting. I quieted my steps, not wanting to disturb them, but the next second, Marianne's move made my blood run cold. She pulled a sticky QR code from her pocket, gently brought it up to my forehead, and carefully stuck it on. I was stunned for two seconds before I snapped back, suddenly raising my hand to tear it off. "What are you doing?" My voice trembled with uncontrollable anger. Marianne's face showed a flicker of panic before quickly switching to an innocent expression. Quentin was also awakened, opened his eyes, saw me, and frowned, "Freya? What are you doing here?" "Look what your secretary did to me!" I pointed to my forehead. "Look what she stuck on me!" People in the surrounding office heard the commotion and started poking their heads out, crowding around to watch. Marianne's eyes reddened as she said, hurt, "Ms. Upton, I was just joking with you. Please don't be angry." "Joking?" I laughed in anger and reached to tear off the QR code on my forehead, but the adhesive was strong, and pulling it hurt my skin. "Have you ever seen a joke where someone sticks a 'Damaged goods on clearance' label on another person's forehead?" The angrier I got, my gaze swept over Quentin, but then I suddenly noticed a clear character "M" on his collarbone, exposed under his unbuttoned shirt. My heart sank straight to the bottom of a valley. Quentin is seriously obsessed with cleanliness; not to mention writing on his body, even if there's a tiny stain on his clothes, he has to change immediately. "Quentin, what's going on with the writing on your collarbone?" I stared at the writing, my voice tightening. Quentin instinctively pulled his shirt closer, his tone carrying a barely noticeable hint of defensiveness: "It was just some playful messing around, nothing serious." Quentin said to Marianne, "Alright, you go ahead, I'll handle things here." Marianne looked at Quentin with a hint of grievance, then slowly walked away, not forgetting to cast me a provocative glance from the corner of her eye as she left. "Freya, don't make a fuss," Quentin said, his voice edged with impatience. "She's just out of college, inexperienced—just joking around." "Joking?" I pulled my hand away from his. "Humiliating me in public, treating me like damaged goods on clearance — sticking a price tag on me — you call that a joke? Letting her use you as a damn billboard — you call that a joke too?" Quentin frowned, his voice stiff. "I told you, it was just for fun. Why are you blowing this out of proportion?"

Seven Years in Pain, a Lifetime in Vain

2026-03-04
I stood at the entrance of the office building, clutching the dismissal notice, when a video from Melody suddenly popped up on my phone: "Bruce Lewis is getting married next week. You're welcome to witness this happiness." Seven years of restraint crumbled in an instant, and the old scar on my wrist felt hot—it was left there seven years ago. "Nora, Bruce stood up at the wedding!" A colleague's message had just appeared when a hand suddenly grabbed me. I turned around to see Bruce's bloodshot eyes. He was gasping for breath: "I've been looking for you for seven years." "Mr. Lewis, we don't know each other well." I wrenched myself free from his grip. "My mom forced you back then, and I had no idea!" He held out a bank card. "I'll make it up to you. Let's start over!" "Make it up to me?" I laughed until tears came. "With my mom's life? Or with these seven years...

The Arrow of Love

2026-03-04
The moment I gripped the wooden bow at ten, I knew archery and Eddie would be the passions I'd never be able to let go of. Eddie was the legendary captain of the archery team, my first mentor, and my love. He once held my wrist and said, "Calm your heart, let the arrow follow your breath." To stand beside him, I trained for three months, forging thick calluses on my palms. But when the selection results came out, I was five points short. "Eddie, just this once, could you put in a good word for me with the Selection Team? I swear I'll give it my all from now on—I won't ever let you down!" But he pushed my hand away, his eyes cold as ice: "Cindy, no. Archery can't have shortcuts—if you are not good enough, you are simply not." I stared at his sharp profile, my heart pricking like it was being stabbed. I thought he was...

Betrayal of My Background Actor Boyfriend

2026-03-04
I was a celebrity with three Best Actress trophies in hand and a net worth of over 100 million. Ten years ago, on that sweltering summer afternoon, in a corner of the film set in Collywood City, there was a young extra named Jim in a faded costume. The light in his eyes was blazing bright. I revised scripts for him, found him mentors, and paved the way with my connections. I watched him rise from an unknown actor in web dramas to the very peak of A-list stardom, step by step. For our tenth anniversary, I booked the dressing room at the film and television base. I set out his favorite red wine and hid the gift I had been preparing for half a year, wanting to give him a surprise. But behind the slightly ajar door, ambiguous sounds stabbed at my eardrums, making them ache. The moment I pushed the door open, Yvonne's disheveled hair and the shirt...

Blind to My Heart

"Jesse, did you 'mistake someone' again? Was it your secretary or your assistant this time?" He chuckled softly on the other end of the phone, "Honey, you know I have face blindness." "Face blindness?" I stared at the surveillance footage on the tablet showing him kissing a strange woman. "Then why have you never mistaken your ex, Leila?" His breath caught abruptly in the receiver. I walked to the window, looked down at his recently parked car, and whispered into the phone, "Jesse, it's time to end your act." "Guess how long you can keep pretending if I hand over proof of your 'selective face blindness' to the board?" There was a deathly silence over the phone for a moment, then his voice turned sharply cold: "Nora, what do you know?" I smiled. "Secrets enough to destroy you. Like..."收起

My Private Doctor

2026-03-04
The moment I died on the delivery bed, my husband was laughing with his lover through the crack of the door—"She gives birth, we have fun." Before the excruciating pain shattered my consciousness, I vowed that if there is a next life, they will pay their blood debt with blood. When I opened my eyes again, the disinfectant still stung my nose, but I had returned to the day he took me to a private hospital for a prenatal checkup. He smiled, pointing at the baby mural, with the woman who caused my difficult labor standing behind him. I pressed my abdomen and whispered, "Mason Young, let's get a divorce."收起
