My Private Doctor

2026-03-04

The moment I died on the delivery bed, my husband was laughing with his lover through the crack of the door—"She gives birth, we have fun." Before the excruciating pain shattered my consciousness, I vowed that if there is a next life, they will pay their blood debt with blood. When I opened my eyes again, the disinfectant still stung my nose, but I had returned to the day he took me to a private hospital for a prenatal checkup. He smiled, pointing at the baby mural, with the woman who caused my difficult labor standing behind him. I pressed my abdomen and whispered, "Mason Young, let's get a divorce."收起

Chapter 1 of "My Private Doctor"

The smell of disinfectant stung my nostrils painfully. I suddenly opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was the hospital's stark white ceiling. This is not the delivery room where I gave birth. "Freya, how about here?" Mason Young's voice sounded in my ear, carrying a trace of deliberate gentleness. I stiffly turned my head and saw him smiling as he pointed at the baby mural on the wall. My heart suddenly clenched. This was the day Mason Young brought me to tour the private hospital's delivery room. It was also the first time he introduced that woman to me, saying he wanted to hire her as my private physician. Memories of my past life surged like a tidal wave, nearly drowning me. The same hospital, the same delivery room. Because of a large fetus and difficult labor, I lay on the operating table, drenched in blood, fighting with all my strength against the grasp of death. Meanwhile, my husband Mason Young was in the restroom at the end of the corridor, laughing and whispering with his lover Mia Lopez. "She gives birth; we have fun." His voice slipped through the crack of the door, like a venomous ice pick piercing my heart. "Mason, do you think our child will be more beautiful than hers?" Mia Lopez's coquettish voice brimmed with arrogance. "Of course, ours is the best." Agonizing pain and heartbreak struck me at once; my vision darkened, and I lost consciousness completely. When I woke again, the baby was gone, and my body was shattered from severe hemorrhaging. They didn't even wait for me to be discharged before moving my belongings out of the house, discarding them like garbage. Mason Young, holding Mia Lopez, stood arrogantly at the hospital room door and said, "Freya Miller, sign the divorce papers. Don't make a scene." Mia Lopez gently touched her still flat belly, smiling proudly, "Freya, thank you for taking care of Mason all these years. From now on, it's my turn." Hatred gnawed at my very core. If there is a next life, I will never make the same mistake again. "Freya? What's wrong?" Mason Young reached out to touch my face. I suddenly turned my head sharply to avoid him, my fingertips digging into my palm from the force, the pain keeping me awake. "I don't think this place is right." My voice was dry and hoarse. Mason Young paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "This is the best private hospital in the entire city—fully equipped, with professional doctors." He stepped aside to make room, revealing Mia Lopez behind him, dressed in a white coat. She wore light makeup today, presenting a gentle and intellectual appearance, but her eyes concealed a subtle, hard-to-detect calculation. Exactly the same as in the previous life. "Ms. Miller, hello. I am Mia Lopez, the private physician hired by Mr. Young." She extended her hand, her smile sweet. I looked at her fair fingers and recalled how, in the previous life, it was with these very hands that she deliberately delayed time during my difficult labor. A violent storm churned in my stomach. "No need." I stepped back, avoiding her touch. Mason Young's face darkened. "Freya, don't be upset. Mia is a very experienced obstetrician." "I said no need." I sharpened my tone, looking him straight in the eyes. "Mason Young, let's get a divorce." The air froze instantly. The smile on Mason's face stiffened, as if he had heard something unbelievable. "What did you say?" "I said, divorce." I repeated each word deliberately, my voice low but filled with unprecedented resolve. Mia Lopez was also stunned, a flicker of panic flashing in her eyes, but she quickly concealed it and stepped forward, feigning concern: "Ms. Miller, are you misunderstanding something? Mr. Young loves you deeply, and you even have a child together..." "My affairs are none of your concern." I cut her off coldly. Mason Young's face darkened completely, his tone threatening: "Freya Miller, don't be willful. You must give birth to this child." "I won't give birth." I met his gaze without fear. "I don't want this child." In my past life, I endured endless suffering for this child, only to meet such a tragic end. This b*stard child—whoever wants him can have him. Mason Young clearly did not expect me to be so resolute; his face turned ashen with anger: "Freya Miller, don't forget, everything you eat and wear now belongs to me. On what grounds do you bring up divorce?" "Simply because you don't deserve it." I retorted without a hint of weakness. He raised his hand in fury, as if to strike me, but in the end restrained himself, snarling, "I won't agree to a divorce! Give up on that idea!" After speaking, he turned and walked away. Mia Lopez glanced at me, her eyes filled with complexity, then quickly followed him. Watching their retreating figures, I let out a long breath, though my palms were slick with cold sweat. The first step has already been taken. From now on, no matter how hard it gets, I must persevere.

The trending forum post "Taking Two People Away in the Apocalypse" shows zero votes for the "frumpy wife". I'd just posted a follow-up question when Henry Shaw's call blew up my phone. "Fiona! Are you trying to ruin me with that garbage post? The whole company is laughing at me for marrying a dead weight!" "A dead weight?" I squeezed the photo of him and Lydia being intimate, sneering. "Why didn't you call me a dead weight when you were buying her limited-edition bags and slinging your arm around her shoulders?" He slammed the door open and stormed in. "Delete that post! Or you'll regret it!" "People are just telling the truth." I tapped the recording, and Lydia's cloying voice cut through the air like a knife. "Mr. Shaw, when are you going to divorce that frumpy wife?" Henry's face turned purple with rage. "You dared to investigate me?" "I just wanted to know if this family was worth it."...

The Camping Trap

That white luxury car I cherished most was driven out the door by his assistant, Susan, filled with people I didn't know, laughing so boldly. I picked up the phone, my voice so cold it sounded unfamiliar even to myself: "Follow that car and bring it back to me unharmed." My friend advised, "Maybe your husband allowed it?" I laughed, "Him? He doesn't have that kind of nerve yet." That night, Rory sat beside me, his tone reproachful: "Susan is just a young girl, playing around. Aren't you being too harsh?" I looked up at him and said each word clearly, "That is my car." He frowned, "She is my assistant. For my sake, can you not forgive her just this once?" I stood up, stared into his eyes, and finally asked the question I had been holding inside: "Rory, if one day you found that everything you rely on—your money, your car, your company—was all controlled by me, would...

The Name Carved in Error

I knelt at the end of the church's red carpet, holding the wedding ring high—engraved inside was "Reagan"—though the bride's name was Stacy. She tore off her veil with a fierce motion, her slap ringing out so sharply the stained glass seemed to tremble: "Your mother lies collapsed in the front row, and you have your first love engraved in the ring, Charles Jones—will you still go through with this marriage?" The moment the ambulance rushed in to take my mother away, I knew this wedding was over, and so were we. Three years later, holding my newborn daughter in the maternity ward corridor, I saw Stacy, soaked in blood, grin at me: "I sent her father to prison for you. Do you remember what you owe me?" I lowered my head to soothe the child, softly replying, "I remember, but the one whose life is owed is someone else; the one who owes you is your next life."收起

I, Frank, a bomb disposal expert at the police station, was wiping the bomb disposal tools that had accompanied me through countless missions. Suddenly, the walkie-talkie blared: "There's a bomb on the top floor of the Global Office Building! The suspect is holding a hostage and is demanding to see you specifically!" My heart skipped a beat. I grabbed my toolbox and rushed out. Upon arriving at the scene, the wind howled on the top floor. There, I saw that familiar figure—my ex-wife Hannah. She was clutching a remote control tightly in her hand, with a bomb wrapped in wires at her feet, and beside her stood Nora, a terrified and helpless girl. "Frank, you're finally here," Hannah's voice was shrill and frantic. "Get back together with me, or watch her die?" I tried to calm her down: "Hannah, don't act impulsively. Let's talk this through." "Talk? Do you even have the right to talk to me?" She sneered. "Choose—her,...
