2026-03-03

My girlfriend tricked me into a postpartum care center, and her brother immediately demanded 300,000 dollars plus my real estate near many schools. Her relatives took turns morally blackmailing me; when I refused, I was even kicked out of my own home. They even kidnapped the professor who helped me... This wasn't dating, it was straight-up extortion! I fought back by releasing DNA evidence and recordings, sending them all to prison.收起

Chapter 1 of "My Brother-Obsessed Girlfriend"

Today was my first time visiting my girlfriend Teri's family. Before heading out, I carefully picked a decent suit and bought some high-end gifts. I thought I was going to meet Teri's parents and have a serious talk about our future. But instead, Teri drove to a place that looked ridiculously fancy. I looked up and realized it was the city's top private postpartum care center. I was puzzled and couldn't help but ask her what was going on. Teri didn't answer me directly, just grabbed my hand and led me inside. As soon as we stepped into the lobby, I saw Teri's brother Kelton walking over with a baby in his arms. Kelton had this awkward smile and pushed the baby closer to me. "Blaze, this is my son, your little nephew." He said. I was stunned for a moment, completely caught off guard. Teri and I aren't even married yet, so how did I suddenly have a little nephew? Before I could sort out my thoughts, Kelton went on: "Blaze, my girlfriend is having a postpartum care here, and the total cost is three hundred thousand dollars. Could you help me cover it for now?" I thought I misheard—three hundred thousand dollars no small amount. Just as I was about to refuse, Kelton made an even more outrageous demand. "Also, Blaze, my son will need a good school down the line. That big flat you have downtown isn't near a lot of schools? Let me use it for now." He even added that I should help take care of the kids more since he's busy with work and has no time. I couldn't believe my ears—this wasn't a request, it was a flat-out demand, like it was owed to him. I took a deep breath, held back my anger, and told Kelton clearly: "I can't pay that money for you, I'm not the one who should be raising the kids, and there's no way I'm giving you the house." Kelton's face instantly darkened. Just as he was about to snap, Teri quickly stepped in to smooth things over. "Blaze, don't be mad. Kelton's still young and immature. He shouldn't be lagged behind by stuff like this." Teri grabbed my arm, her voice pleading. I looked at Teri, feeling both angry and speechless. Kelton's already an adult—how can they still use "too young" as an excuse? She actually helped pressure me into agreeing to such ridiculous demands. I shrugged off Teri's hand and said firmly, "Impossible! I'll never agree to it." The atmosphere in the hall turned awkward instantly, and people kept sneaking glances our way. I knew that today's visit had completely messed up all my plans for the future. Looking at these siblings in front of me, it hit me for the first time that I'd never really understood Teri at all. She knew these demands were way over the line, but she still chose to side with her brother, trying to convince me to give in. A cold shiver ran through me, and all the hope I had for this relationship shattered in that moment. Kelton saw I was dead set, his face darkened, and he started muttering nasty stuff under his breath. Teri was pacing anxiously beside us, trying to talk me down as well as yanking Kelton to stop him from speaking. I didn't want to waste any more time there, so I turned around, ready to leave. But Kelton stepped forward and blocked my way. "Blaze, if you don't agree today, don't even want to go," he said. His tone was threatening, and his eyes grew fierce. I looked at him, and my anger just kept burning hotter. I never thought Kelton could be that kind of person—willing to do something like this over money and the house. Teri quickly grabbed Kelton. "Don't be like this. Let's talk it out peacefully," she urged. But Kelton didn't listen at all. He kept blocking my way, refusing to budge. I swallowed my anger and said to Teri, "Teri, tell him to step aside. I don't want to argue with you guys here." Teri looked at me, then at Kelton, her face full of helplessness. In the end, she said to Kelton, "Kelton, step aside for now. We'll talk about this at home." Kelton reluctantly moved aside, but his eyes were still full of resentment. I stopped looking at them and walked straight to the entrance of the postpartum care center.

"Liliana Harrison, what a coincidence." In the corridor outside the teaching seminar, he stopped me, his voice low. I raised my eyes coldly. "Mr. Leonard, do we know each other?" He stepped closer. "Three years have passed, and you won't even listen to a single truth from me?" "Truth?" I sneered. "Why didn't you speak the truth when you stood by while I was falsely accused back then?" "I had my reasons..." "Reasons?" I cut him off, pressing my fingertip into my palm. "Your reasons were trampling me into the mud with your new lover, weren't they?" At that moment, his fiancée, Sara Burke, linked her arm with his, smiling radiantly: "Miss Liliana, I heard your father is ill? If you need money, just say the word." I fixed my gaze on Jacob Leonard's face and enunciated each word: "Do you really believe I'm still the Liliana you manipulated three years ago?" He suddenly grabbed my wrist. "What do you...

She said the company was busy and she had no time for the Valentine's Day, yet she turned away and booked a plane ticket to M Country with her assistant. I lingered in the empty living room, hearing the cicadas chirp as if mocking me, smelling a strange woody scent fermenting in the air. Only when the red scarf was returned to me did I realize that five years of marriage was nothing but a carefully staged betrayal. That night, for the first time, I wanted to win—win back my dignity, and win back the truth.收起
