On the tenth anniversary of my husband's death, a woman showed up with a child, waving a paternity test at me, demanding I hand over the decade of my hard work. The parents-in-law immediately turned cold and threw me out. Chapter 1 of "The Return of the Dead Billionaire"

Today is the tenth anniversary of Henry Judd's death. I'm brewing the tea he loved when he was alive. The tea leaves unfurled in the water, their fragrance drifting out, but they couldn't warm the slightly chilly living room. Henry's parents sat on the sofa, their expressions darker than the gloomy sky outside. The doorbell suddenly rang. I wiped my hands and went to open the door. Standing outside was a woman in an off-white dress, holding a boy in her arms. Her makeup was flawless, her eyes carrying a carefully crafted gentleness. "Excuse me, are you Celia Mendes?" She asked with a smile. I nodded, "Yes, that's me. And you are?" "My name's Wanda Anderson," she said, stepping aside and pushing the boy forward, "This is my son, Leo Judd." Leo Judd? My heart skipped a beat. That name—Henry mentioned it before, saying one of his childhood sweethearts had a name with "Wanda" in it. "Is something wrong?" I blocked the door, not letting them in. Wanda pushed my hand aside and walked into the living room. "Mr. Judd, Mrs. Judd, long time no see." She smiled at my parents-in-law. Mrs. Judd immediately stood up and grabbed her hand. "Wanda, you finally came! Just sit down!" I stood there like an outsider. Wanda took a document out of her bag and placed it on the coffee table. "This is the paternity test report," she said. "Leo is Henry's biological son and the sole heir of the Judd family." I walked over and picked up the report to take a look. The test results were clear as day: Leo and Henry share a biological blood relationship. Mr. Judd cleared his throat. "Celia, now that Wanda and Leo are back, it's time for you to hand over the company affairs." I looked up at him. "Dad, I've been holding this company up by myself for the past ten years. When Henry passed away, it was almost bankrupt." "But it's still the Judd family's property," Mrs. Judd interrupted, "Leo is the Judd family's bloodline; the Company belongs to him." Wanda took my hand, her tone sincere: "Celia, I know you've had a hard time, but Leo is still young—I have to think about him. Don't worry. From now on, I'll take good care of Mr. Judd and Mrs. Judd, and I won't forget all you've done for me." I pulled my hand back, my fingertips turning cold. It's been ten years, and everything I've done for the Judd family means less to them than a simple paternity test. "Fine," I nodded. "I'll hand over the Company. I'll go handle the paperwork tomorrow." Mr. Judd and Mrs. Judd sighed in relief, while Wanda's eyes flickered with a touch of triumph. I turned back to the kitchen and switched off the gas stove. The tea in the pot had gone cold—just like my feelings toward the Judd family.

"Liliana Harrison, what a coincidence." In the corridor outside the teaching seminar, he stopped me, his voice low. I raised my eyes coldly. "Mr. Leonard, do we know each other?" He stepped closer. "Three years have passed, and you won't even listen to a single truth from me?" "Truth?" I sneered. "Why didn't you speak the truth when you stood by while I was falsely accused back then?" "I had my reasons..." "Reasons?" I cut him off, pressing my fingertip into my palm. "Your reasons were trampling me into the mud with your new lover, weren't they?" At that moment, his fiancée, Sara Burke, linked her arm with his, smiling radiantly: "Miss Liliana, I heard your father is ill? If you need money, just say the word." I fixed my gaze on Jacob Leonard's face and enunciated each word: "Do you really believe I'm still the Liliana you manipulated three years ago?" He suddenly grabbed my wrist. "What do you...

She said the company was busy and she had no time for the Valentine's Day, yet she turned away and booked a plane ticket to M Country with her assistant. I lingered in the empty living room, hearing the cicadas chirp as if mocking me, smelling a strange woody scent fermenting in the air. Only when the red scarf was returned to me did I realize that five years of marriage was nothing but a carefully staged betrayal. I caught the lingering scent of perfume on Emily's coat, my knuckles whitening as I clenched my fists. "That's not your perfume. Tell me—who were you with?" Her hands, busy tying her apron, froze. When she turned around, her smile looked stiff and forced. "What are you getting so worked up about? I just popped down to the supermarket downstairs." "Did you need to wear men's cologne to go grocery shopping?" I stepped closer, my voice dropping to a low, dangerous growl. "This is the third time you've 'gone to buy soy sauce'. Emily, do you take me for a fool?" Her face paled dramatically, then quickly turned cold. "Frank, stop being so unreasonable! I just..." "Just went to see Jarvis?" I cut her off sharply. Watching her face drain of all color in an instant, my heart twisted painfully. "Wasn't he supposed to have gone abroad ages ago? Have you two even cut ties at all?" Emily suddenly lifted...

More Than an Assistant

The night before the wedding, I ran into Sarah and Simon downstairs in the wedding suite. Simon's hand rested on her shoulder, intimate and casual. "William?" Sarah turned around, her voice devoid of any fluster, only cold detachment. Simon scoffed, pulling her tighter into his arms. "William, did you really think Sarah wanted to marry you? It was just that I never gave my okay." I clenched my fists, my gaze fixed on Sarah. "Is he telling the truth? Five years of being by your side—does it all mean less than a single word from him?" Sarah averted her eyes. "William, there's no need to play dumb anymore. You were just the most convenient choice." "Convenient?" My throat tightened. "I tore up my job offer, stayed up with you through countless sleepless nights—and this is what I get? A 'convenient' label?" Simon stepped forward, his eyes glinting with provocation. "What else did you expect? Did you actually think you were...
