A Final Wish for Us

On our third wedding anniversary, my husband's childhood friend slipped laxatives into my steak. Later, she escalated, putting abortion pills into my water and porridge. I was rushed to the hospital again and again during my pregnancy, but my husband always said, "She's just playing around." It wasn't until I discovered they had tattooed each other's names that I completely gave up. After the divorce, I started a new life with my child, while he lost everything...收起

Chapter 1 of "A Final Wish for Us"

Today is the third anniversary of my marriage to Marcel Salazar. He left early this morning, saying he was preparing a surprise for me. When I came home in the evening, the living room was indeed illuminated by flickering candlelight. On the dining table were exquisite steaks and red wine, along with my favorite strawberry cake. Marcel Salazar wore a tidy shirt, his face soft with a gentle smile as he pulled me to sit down. "Jenny, happy anniversary." He handed me a glass of red wine, his eyes filled with anticipation. My heart warmed; despite occasional friction over these three years of marriage, it always felt worthwhile. We ate and talked, reminiscing about the playful moments from our relationship. Halfway through the meal, a sudden, intense pain shot through my stomach. At first, I thought it was from eating the cold strawberry cake, so I didn't think much of it. But the pain grew stronger, and a cold sweat broke out suddenly on my forehead. Clutching my stomach, I bent over, barely able to speak. Marcel panicked, quickly supporting me and asking what was wrong. I forced myself to endure it and told him to check on the rest of the food. After checking, he found some white powder in the steak sauce. It was only later that I realized it was a laxative. Furious and anxious, I demanded Marcel Salazar explain what was going on. He hesitated for a long time before finally admitting that Naomi Sullivan was behind it. Naomi Sullivan was his childhood friend, someone he'd grown up with, always acting like a "little sister" beside him. I had long been uneasy about her, but Marcel insisted I was imagining things and that he only felt sibling affection for Naomi. This time, on our wedding anniversary, she actually put laxatives in my food. I held the small bottle of laxative and rushed up to Marcel Salazar to confront him. "You know I'm pregnant, so how could you let her do this?" My voice trembled with anger. I was only two months pregnant and had been extremely careful, afraid of anything going wrong. Marcel avoided my gaze and whispered, "Naomi was just playing a prank, trying to make you remember this anniversary. She didn't mean any harm." "Playing a prank?" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "She's trying to harm my child!" I pointed to the door and told him to go find Naomi Sullivan right now and get the truth—either she apologizes, or he severs ties with her. I made him choose between me and Naomi. But Marcel frowned, his tone sharp with accusation: "Jenny, can you be a little more reasonable?" "Naomi has been in poor health since childhood. I owe her a lot and can't treat her like this." "Owe her?" I sneered coldly, the pain in my belly blending with the hurt in my heart, almost making me lose my footing. "What about me and the baby? Are we nothing to you?" He didn't answer, just silently turned away, staring out the window. No matter what I said, he didn't respond anymore.

"Judy, now and always, my wife is only you." The tenderness in his eyes made me believe him. Until I was three months pregnant, when I found a lipstick in his pocket. I held up the lipstick and asked, "This color suits Greta Rodriguez pretty well, doesn't it?" His face turned pale: "A client left this in my pocket. Don't think the worst." I didn't press him further. At seven months, when I was suffering severe pregnant sickness, he came home late, his collar stained with lipstick and smelling of perfume. "Robbie Madison," I leaned against the wall, my stomach twisting, "you smell like Greta Rodriguez." He irritably loosened his tie. "Judy Fox, how long are you going to keep suspecting me? A Game of Love and Vengeance

2026-03-04
"The girl your husband was holding is named Ingrid." My friend slammed the secretly taken photo down in front of me, her voice full of outrage. In the photo, Stanley's gaze was so tender it was painfully bright—a look I had never received, even when our daughter was critically ill. I lifted my wine glass and swirled the amber liquid inside. "I know." I tugged at the corner of my mouth. "You know? Then you..." "Ingrid," I interrupted her, staring at that face in the photo—eerily resembling someone deceased—"was the one I picked out two years ago." My friend let out a sharp gasp. I dialed the number, and a girl's sweet yet slightly nervous voice answered, "Mrs. Stanley." "Did he take the bait?" I asked.

Losing the Lifesaving Money, I Made Him Pay

A mobile payment alert pops up. The thermos bucket in my hand clatters to the floor. "Bruce! Where did you transfer Noah's surgery fee?" I rush into the study, my voice trembling. He holds a cigarette between his fingers, scrolling through his phone. "Gave it to Stacy. Her commission for that deal." "That's money for his life!" I grab the collar of his shirt. "The doctor said Noah has to have the surgery next week!" Bruce shoves me away, his tone dripping with contempt. "We can scrape up more money later. If Stacy leaves, the company will collapse. What's the hurry with Noah?" "He's your son!" I scream and lunge at him, but he slams me against the wall. The door swings open, and Stacy walks in. "Susan, don't get so worked up. Mr. Bruce knows what he's doing." I glare at the two of them. "Bruce, if you dare touch this money, I swear I'll make you lose everything...

The Scented Maiden

The golden threads along the hem of the wedding dress still shimmered under the warm yellow light; the cedar scent on Felix Lewis' shirt—the cologne I had specially blended for him—had yet to dissipate, when a pair of rust-scented hands clamped over my mouth. A moment before the black cloth was drawn over my eyes, I saw in the mirror the wedding dress like a coagulated pool of blood, and the sickly sweet stench of inferior perfume piercing my nostrils—later, this became the trigger of my nightmare. When I awoke again, the damp chill of the warehouse seeped into the wedding dress, and the hospital's voice burst from my mobile phone: 'Ms. Scott, your father is undergoing emergency treatment for a myocardial infarction in the ICU!' Mother grasped me, trembling with sobs: "It was the Lewis family... They are the ones who harmed your father!" Clutching the blood bead in my palm, I finally discerned the malicious eyes of Lisa...

His Separation Anxiety, My Forever Serenity

I caught my husband Howard James locked in a kiss with his childhood friend Willow Charles on the couch. He snapped away suddenly and rushed over, "Selena, don't get the wrong idea! Willow fainted so I gave her CPR!" Willow Charles stood by, clutching her chest, eyes wide and scared. I laughed bitterly, "CPR? Does it really take this long?" But that ridiculous scene was only the beginning. At the hospital, just as the doctor came out, Howard James hurried up, "How's my baby?" "My baby"—those two words hit me like a thunderclap. Last winter, he signed the abortion consent form himself, ending our baby's life. I slapped him hard across the face, the crack sharp and clear. He covered his face and yelled, "Are you crazy?" I stared at him, tears burning in my eyes. "When I was pregnant, you said you didn't want to be a father. Now she's pregnant, and suddenly you do?"收起

At the engagement party, my fiancé led my high school bully right up to me. "Jane, let me introduce you. This is my sister Shirley Sue, the one I've been searching for all these years." Beneath the crystal chandelier, Shirley Sue's smile was as sweet as poison. Three years ago, she left permanent scars on my arm with boiling water and forced me to kneel and lick the mud off her shoes. And Ethan Geller was gently fixing her hair in that moment, just as cold as when he stood by watching me suffer back then.收起
