Reborn as My Ex's Sister

2026-03-04

My ex-husband killed me with his own hands. When I opened my eyes again, I was reborn into his family as his unborn sister. Listening to his hypocritical care for my new "Mom," he even tried to harm me a second time. I sneered coldly inside the womb: This time, I will take everything from you and make you taste despair in return.收起

Chapter 1 of "Reborn as My Ex's Sister"

I drifted in a warm darkness. I could clearly feel Florence Hill's gentle breaths, her heartbeat like a tender drumbeat, resonating through the belly. I was wrapped in softness, as if the entire world was holding me tenderly. But that tenderness couldn't quell the pain deep within my bones. That day, rain poured heavily; Miles Evans trapped me in the villa's basement. The fruit knife in his hand caught the dim light, its cold blade pressing against my pregnant belly—I was still begging him. I pleaded with him to spare us for the child's sake, but he smiled like a venomous serpent. I can't forget the look in his eyes when he plunged the fruit knife into my abdomen. There was no hesitation in that gaze—only pure disgust for me and the child I carried. He said, "Shirley, I won't let you and that basta*d stand in my way. Vivian is far more useful than you—she's already pregnant with my child. So..." I died with my unborn child. I fell into darkness, my heart heavy with hatred. Before my consciousness slipped away, all I could see was his savage, merciless face. When I opened my eyes again, I was back in his house. No, even more absurdly, I ended up as his father, Drake Evans, and his young stepmother, Florence Hill's daughter. I was in Florence's womb, the so-called "younger sister" of Miles. Today, the Evans family is holding a banquet to celebrate Florence's pregnancy. I can hear the guests laughing and the footsteps of the servants moving around. Florence sat on the sofa, Drake holding her hand, his voice filled with tenderness: "If you're tired, just say so. Don't push yourself." She nodded gently, her hand never leaving her belly. Miles and his secretary, Vivian Lincoln, approached. Vivian carried a silver tray with a glass of lemonade, smiling with her eyes narrowed. Miles approached Florence with a false smile. "Mom, congratulations." He picked up a glass of lemonade from the tray and offered it. "Vivian specially prepared this with honey; it's good for pregnant women." I immediately tensed. In my past life, I knew Vivian had been having an affair with Miles. Once, I caught them being intimate in the office. Miles held her close, calling her "baby," and said, "Once I deal with Shirley and claim fortune of the Evans family, I'll marry you." After causing my death, those two finally got what they wanted. There has to be something wrong with this glass of water! I struggled to scream, to warn Florence to run, but it was as if darkness had sealed my throat, trapping every sound. Desperately, I focused all my thoughts on Florence, shouting again and again, "Don't drink! There's an abortifacient in the water!" Unexpectedly, Florence's hand holding the glass hesitated. She frowned, her fingertips lightly tapping the rim, as if she truly sensed that something was wrong. "What's wrong, Mom?" Miles's voice was more urgent this time as he leaned forward, offering the cup again. "The water's just warmed—please drink it quickly." Vivian stepped closer and lifted the honey jar from the tray. "Yes, Mrs. Hill, the honey is Manuka from country X. I had a friend specially bring it—it's good for the baby's development." As she spoke, she stole a glance at Miles from the corner of her eye, her triumphant expression impossible to conceal. My anxiety flared like a raging fire in my mind: "They want to kill the child in your womb! Miles doesn't want the baby born because he wants to monopolize the family inheritance!" Florence's body trembled slightly; instinctively, she shifted the cup a little to the side. Then she forced a smile, tucking back the hair by her ear with her fingers: "Maybe I drank too much fresh juice just now; I feel a bit full. Let's leave it for now." Miles's eyes darkened, his fingers unconsciously pinching the cup's handle, but he didn't press further. He tugged at the corner of his mouth: "Alright then, when you feel like it, I'll ask Vivian to get you another cup." Vivian nodded, but her eyes swept coldly over Florence's belly, icy as frost. Only after the two had turned and walked away did Florence lean back on the sofa, gently stroking her belly. Her voice was soft and uncertain, "Is it you speaking to me? Baby?" I responded immediately, my thoughts filled with urgency: "It's me, Mom! Miles and Vivian have ill intentions. From now on, don't touch anything they give you!" Florence remained silent for a long time; I could feel her fingers lightly tracing circles on her belly. When she spoke again, her voice held a firmer resolve: "Alright, I trust you." She touched her belly once more, her voice softening: "From now on, we'll protect each other until you are safely born." The tension in my heart finally eased as I gently moved within the amniotic fluid. The first step of my revenge has finally succeeded. At least this time, I protected us.

Dragonfire scorched the Jade Pendant. I stared at Zoe standing behind Timothy, and his voice was cold as ice: "Sandra, Zoe has been suffering from insomnia. Go to the outside of her palace and sing a requiem until she falls sound asleep." "My song is only for the one I love." I clenched the dagger hidden in my sleeve tightly. "You have no choice." He flung a handful of dragonfire at me. "Don't try any tricks." Three days later, he came again: "Zoe wants a phoenix-feather dress. Pluck the feathers from your back — the more, the better." "Plucking my feathers is like cutting out my heart. How can you not feel an ounce of guilt?" I turned my back to him. "Zoe is carrying my child, and your phoenix feathers are the most gorgeous of all." His tone was completely devoid of emotion. "I'll give you another handful of dragonfire." Fresh blood dripped onto the ground. I endured the...

"You think marrying me means you can replace her?" Jeff Harrison's fingers nearly crushed my chin, his gaze sharp and cold as ice. "Remember, you are only her substitute." He released his grip as if discarding trash. "Don't delude yourself into expecting anything." At three in the morning, the servant dragged me from bed. "Mr. Harrison wants you to go to his study and pour him a drink." Cold liquid splattered over me along with shards of broken glass. "Useless," he sneered coldly. "You don't even know how to pour a drink. Bella Tillman would never disappoint me like this." I crouched down; my fingertips were cut by the glass, blood beads seeping out.收起

"Once the anesthetic is administered, you won't feel a thing." Angela Woodward wore a mask, the tray in her hand laden with cold instruments. She leaned forward, her eyes curving into a gentle arc. "Mr. Ernest said he wanted me to personally see you off on your final journey." I lay on the operating table, my entire body trembling with cold. Ernest Davidson's muffled voice drifted through the crack in the door from the corridor. "She's just a toy—one I grew tired of long ago." Angela Woodward's fingers traced over my lower abdomen, a low laugh murmuring, "Did you hear that?" The clinking of metal instruments sent a shiver through me. She picked up the syringe, the needle's tip gleaming with a chilling light. "Don't be afraid. It'll be over soon." She leaned close to my ear, her breath warm against my skin.

The day I died, the rain in H City poured down like the heavens themselves were wailing, yet I knew no one would shed a single tear for me. Three years ago, in the hospital corridor, I grasped the sleeve of a man in a suit and sold myself to him for thirty thousand. Today, he returned, and I threw the divorce papers in his face: "Parker Shaw, the life you purchased has expired." His eyes red, he asked me, "Mindy Scott, do you have a heart?" I smiled and pressed a knife against my chest: "It shattered the day your maternal grandfather threw me into the orphanage."收起

The rain was pouring down relentlessly, soaking me through. I staggered back clutching the tray of carefully prepared desserts, only to see Seth Mondale's fiancée, Tabitha, disdainfully throw a vomit-stained bedsheet right in front of me. "Melanie, is this your service? Clean it up immediately!" Her words were laden with contempt. Before I could say a word, Seth's hand struck hard across my face. Blood mixed with rain trickled down the corner of my mouth. I laughed—a desolate, bitter laugh—"That slap just shattered ten years of our relationship!" I turned to leave, but Seth snarled from behind me, "You think you can run away? I won't let you go!" I spun around sharply. "Seth Mondale, mark my words: the humiliation I suffer today, I will repay tenfold someday!" At that moment, my phone suddenly rang. An aged, authoritative voice cut through the rain: "Melanie Hawthorn? I'm Alexander Oliver. Your grandmother saved my life. Now, tell me where you are—I'm coming...

When I found that room card with the hotel logo in the pocket of his white coat, an icy chill spread from my fingertips through my veins to my heart. "Vivian was too exhausted working the night shift. I booked the room for her, but the card accidentally ended up in my pocket." Morgan wiped his glasses, barely containing his irritation. Vivian, standing beside him, immediately reddened around the eyes and tugged at his shirt corner, playing the victim: "It's all my fault, Wendy. Please don't misunderstand..." True despair came from that car accident three months ago. I was trapped in the twisted wreckage of the car, my right hand mangled beneath the steering wheel, flesh shredded. I made countless desperate calls for help, only to be met with Morgan Carter's cold, furious roar. "I'm performing an appendectomy on Vivian. Don't bother me!" My right hand is ruined; I can never hold my beloved repair tools again. It wasn't until...

"Sienna, I'll be back in three days from this business trip." Jonathan Zimmerman, tie neatly knotted, kissed me on the forehead. I held the visitation card I'd just found tucked inside the suitcase. "Who is Lena Yip?" He hesitated. "An old classmate who needs help." "An old classmate who needs you to transfer hundreds of thousands every month? Who needs you to keep hundreds of intimate photos on your phone?" I looked him straight in the eye. His face darkened suddenly. "Did you check on me?" "That kid named Jesse — why does he call you dad?" My voice trembled. "What does the 'Seven Years of Love' on the HS Behavioral Health Center banner mean?" "You followed me?" He suddenly grabbed my wrist. "It's not what you think..." "Then what is it?"收起

I stayed up three whole nights revising the proposal, all just to smoothly sign the contract with the client tomorrow. The office door slammed open, and Viola Lincoln was holding my proposal booklet.
